Thribinna is one of violinist and composer Ganesh Rajagopalan’s most ambitious and fulfilling musical journeys.
The inspiration behind Thribinnacomes from an ancient Carnatic concept in which *swaras are not merely experienced in sequence, but also together, creating new dimensions of musical expression. Through this approach, Ganesh Rajagopalan envisioned what an Indian Symphony could sound like, one where the grammar and soul of Carnatic music remain intact while embracing a larger and more expansive sonic canvas.
The project also reflects one of Rajagopalan’s greatest passions as a musician and teacher—sharing music with the next generation. The Swarayoga Ensemble, comprising his students, forms the heart of the album
